What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things as you move between pages — like what’s in your basket, or that you’re signed in.
Some cookies are deleted as soon as you close your browser (“session” cookies). Others stay for a set period (“persistent” cookies). Cookies set by the website you’re visiting are “first-party” cookies; cookies set by another company’s service embedded in the page are “third-party” cookies.
What we don’t use
We don’t use analytics cookies such as Google Analytics, and we don’t use advertising or social media tracking cookies. If that ever changes, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent before those cookies are set.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies make the shop and customer accounts work. Without them we couldn’t keep track of your basket, take you through checkout or keep you signed in, so they don’t need your consent. Most are only set once you add something to your basket or sign in.

If you’re one of our staff using the website’s admin area, WordPress also sets wp-settings-[ID] and wp-settings-time-[ID] to remember your screen preferences for up to a year. Customers don’t receive these.
Order attribution cookies
Our online shop uses these cookies to record how you arrived at our website — for example from a search engine, a link on another site, or a link in one of our campaigns. If you place an order, this information is saved with it, which helps us understand which of our marketing is working. If you don’t place an order, it isn’t linked to you and is deleted when the cookies expire.
The information recorded is the type of visit (such as search, referral or direct), the website that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you followed, the page you arrived on and when, how many pages you viewed, how many visits you’ve made, and your browser and device type.

These cookies aren’t needed for the website to work, so you can block them without affecting your ability to browse or order.
Third-party cookies
Google Maps
Our Contact page includes a map provided by Google. When the map loads, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. Google controls these cookies, not us, and the ones it uses can change.

Other technologies
- Icons — the icons on this website are loaded from jsDelivr, a content delivery network. It doesn’t set cookies, but your browser connects to it directly, so it receives your IP address.
- Browser storage — WordPress saves a small note in your browser’s session storage (
wpEmojiSettingsSupports) recording whether your browser can display emoji. It contains no personal information and is deleted when you close the tab.

If you block strictly necessary cookies, your basket, checkout and account won’t work properly. Blocking the other cookies described here won’t stop you using the website. For general advice, the Information Commissioner’s Office has a helpful guide to cookies.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this policy whenever the cookies we use change — for example, if we add a new feature to the website. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
